Job Description:
- Manufacturing client requires an IAM Architect to help with the modernization of their IAM program.
- The IAM Architect will provide architectural leadership and technical execution support for the Crawl phase of the client s IAM roadmap.
- The engagement will result in defined IAM standards, technical documentation, a current/future state gap assessment, tooling recommendations, and foundational process designs for Joiner-Mover-Leaver, RBAC, access approvals, and service account governance.
- The IAM Architect will also be responsible for mentoring internal staff, ensuring knowledge transfer, and aligning all work with industry best practices.
- This project will involve reviewing existing draft IAM materials, including the current IAM roadmap and crawl phase deliverables. The IAM Architect will assess these materials to validate accuracy, alignment with industry best practices, and compliance with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), and determine what can be reused, enhanced, or requires rework.
- The engagement should also prioritize short-term quick wins prior to transitioning to the "Walk" phase of the roadmap. For the purposes of this engagement, a quick win is defined as a task or initiative that can be completed with minimal effort and coordination, while providing measurable value such as risk reduction, improved compliance posture, or enhanced employee experience.
- The initial duration of this engagement will be 6 months, with potential to extend to complete the crawl stage and proceed to the walk stage. Local/regional resources to the Milwaukee area that can be onsite once/month will be prioritized.
