Job Details

Job Title: Senior Technical Strategist
Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid 2 days onsite: Wed/Thu)
Interview: In-person
Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in:

    • Information Technology

    • Business Administration

    • Project Management

Preferred Certifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional)

  • CSM (Certified ScrumMaster) or CQA (Certified Quality Auditor)

Job Description:
  • Conduct Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) activities for DTMB-managed projects.
  • Provide objective assessments of project health, deliverables, and compliance with DTMB standards.
  • Review project documentation including:

  • Charters

  • PM plans

  • Schedules

  • Risk registers

  • Contracts

  • Evaluate deliverables for:

    • Quality

    • Completeness

    • Requirement adherence

  • Identify and escalate:

    • Risks

    • Issues

    • Deficiencies

  • Recommend and track mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor scope, schedule, budget, and quality KPIs.

  • Prepare and deliver:

    • IV&V Service Plans

    • Monthly Health Assessment Reports

    • Deliverable Review Assessments

    • Risk/Issue Logs

    • Executive Briefings

    • Final Closeout Summary Reports

  • Collaborate with PMs, stakeholders, and sponsors while maintaining independence of judgment.
  • Ensure alignment to DTMB standards and templates.
