Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Business Development Manager and Account Manager to find new clients, build strong relationships, and work closely with our delivery team on service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Find new business: Leverage your network and industry expertise to identify and secure new clients in the NY/NJ region.
- Lead acquisition: Proactively bring in clients through cold calling, networking, and referrals; maintain a robust pipeline of prospects.
- In-person meetings: Attend meetings and events in NY and NJ to represent ZAASS LLC and strengthen relationships.
- Relationship management: Serve as the main point of contact for assigned accounts—maintain and expand client relationships, develop new opportunities within existing accounts, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Client retention: Develop and implement strategies to retain clients and foster long-term partnerships.
- Account management: Oversee all aspects of account relationships—onboarding, communications, contract renewals, and issue resolution.
- Collaboration: Work with recruitment and delivery teams to ensure client needs are consistently met.
- Proposals: Respond to RFIs/RFQs/RFPs, address client inquiries, and collaborate with internal teams to prepare compelling proposals.
- Experience: 6–7 years in business development and account management in IT services, consulting, or staffing.
- Location: Must reside in the NY/NJ area and be available for travel to client sites as required.
- New business: Demonstrated success in acquiring new clients and growing accounts.
- Network: Strong connections and direct experience working with NYC departments, NY State agencies, NJ State agencies, and federal agencies.
- Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills—able to explain concepts, build trust, and collaborate effectively.
- Community: Well-established network in the NYC/NJ technology and startup sector.
- Sales performance: History of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Procurement: Experience with platforms like NYC PASSport and NJSTART.
- Diversity: Experience working with MWBE-certified companies.
