Senior Project Manager - Financial Services (Remote)
Location: 100% Remote
Job Type: Contract (6 months with possible extensions)

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager Contractor to join our team in support of a major initiative for our financial services client. This opportunity is with a prestigious, mission-driven organization known for its integrity, long-term focus, and innovative investment strategies.

You will work as part of the Project Management Office (PMO), supporting critical projects across areas including investment management, operations, technology, data management, finance, and human resources. This role is central to ensuring the successful execution of high-visibility initiatives and will require strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead full life cycle of complex projects:
  
  • Define and manage project scope, schedule, and deliverables.
  • Drive project execution and issue resolution.
  • Ensure delivery of intended business outcomes.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to implement projects and ensure business benefit realization.
• Organize resources into high-performing project teams; manage workloads and task assignments.
• Monitor progress, manage dependencies, and escalate issues and risks as needed.
• Communicate clearly and proactively with all project stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Facilitate meetings to gather input, build consensus, and drive decisions.
• Maintain rigorous project documentation and budget oversight.
• Ensure successful implementations through well-planned testing and training strategies.
• Foster a collaborative and transparent team culture.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience within an investment management or financial services organization.
• Proven success implementing complex enterprise projects, especially within investment operations or portfolio management environments.
• Strong understanding of modern software implementation methodologies.
• Deep knowledge of the investment operations lifecycle, including workflows, systems, and data.
• Familiarity with multiple security types, asset classes, and investment strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SimCorp Dimension and/or Order Management Systems (e.g., Charles River Development/CRD).
• PMP or similar project management certification.
• Strong change management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and high personal standards of excellence.
