Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Administrator responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft SharePoint environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database management systems (DBMS), SharePoint infrastructure, and data governance. This role will play a critical part in the design, development, documentation, upgrades, and support of SharePoint-based solutions, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient operations for end-users.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Administer and maintain enterprise SharePoint environments (on-premises and/or SharePoint Online), including configuration, user permissions, site creation, and performance monitoring.
  • Design and implement database structures, relational architectures, metadata repositories, and data dictionaries in support of SharePoint solutions.
  • Support DBMS applications associated with SharePoint, including data modeling, transformation, mapping, and mining activities.
  • Develop and document long-range SharePoint infrastructure strategies, upgrades, operational guidelines, backup/recovery processes, and security measures.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to SharePoint functionality, performance, and access controls, ensuring data integrity and system availability.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement SharePoint customizations or workflows using Power Automate, InfoPath, and/or third-party tools.
  • Recommend and execute system improvements, updates, and automation to optimize efficiency and user experience.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies related to data governance, access management, and audit readiness.

Basic Qualifications:
  • TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field. Will consider work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 4-8 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 2-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience administering SharePoint environments (on-premises and/or SharePoint Online).
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server and Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Experience with data backup/recovery procedures and system security practices.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for SharePoint automation and configuration.
  • Microsoft certifications related to SharePoint or Microsoft 365 (e.g., MS-100, MS-101, or SharePoint Administrator Associate).
  • Knowledge of Power Platform (Power Automate, PowerApps).
  • Familiarity with project management tools and techniques.
  • Experience with data migration tools and processes (e.g., ShareGate, Metalogix).
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
