Job Details
A global company in the software development systems engineering space is looking to bring on a Principal level DevSecOps engineer. Ideal candidates have more than 8+ years of experience and have a strong development and security background. This is a client facing role with government contracts so having strong communication skills and prior client experience is required. Active security clearance is also required.
Due to the nature of the project, this role is up to 4 days on-site in San Diego (near the airport)

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive technical decision-making for design, development, and implementation of complex software systems onto multi-level security platform
- Work across stakeholders and cross-functional teams, interacting with clients and advising them of best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- 8+ years in software development
- Strong coding experience in Java, Python or other OOP language
- Strong experience in DevOps, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as code, and automation
- Must have security clearance
Additional preferred qualifications
- Experience with SELinux and Multi-Level Security architecture
- Experience with containerization and orchestration
