Job Title: Firmware Developer

Job Location: Tallahassee, FL

Hourly Rate: Up to $73hr depending on experience.

Hybrid Schedule: Primarily work on-site at Tallahassee, FL (With some balance of work-from-home).



Job Summary:


  • Come join our team! We currently have an exciting possible Temp-to-Perm opportunity in Tallahassee, FL for a Firmware Developer with 5 years' experience and highly skilled in C/C++ programming to work for a major Defense Contractor.


Job Description


  • Developing and designing firmware (primarily C code) for electronic devices and embedded systems.

  • Writing, testing, and debugging firmware code to ensure proper functionality and performance.

  • Integrating firmware with hardware components and optimizing the overall system.

  • Troubleshooting and resolving firmware-related issues.

  • Collaborating with hardware engineers, software engineers, and product managers to align firmware with product requirements.

  • Staying up to date with the latest firmware technologies, tools, and best practices.


Requirements


  • Highly skilled C/C++ programmer.

  • 5 years' experience.

  • Expertise with microcontrollers, board support layer.

  • Expertise in debugging with IDEs such as Eclipse.

  • Expertise in Linux, writing drivers.

  • Experience with the Git repository tool.

  • Familiarity with XYNC based SOMs.

  • Familiarity or Expertise in VHDL.


Education:


  • A Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or electrical engineering is required.
