Job Description

Sr. UI Developer

Medline has an immediate opening for an experienced front-end developer to join our software development team in Northfield, IL. This position will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions for various business initiatives. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, pleasant to collaborate with, and constantly seeking to improve and expand their skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, test, deploy, and support software for our business and commerce needs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Participate and foster DevOps adaptation by the team.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous and complex business problems
  • Understanding and applicability of TDD, Pair programming, and Mob programming concepts
  • Adhere to established coding standards
  • Facilitate design meetings with users, management, and architects
  • Analyze production issues to determine root cause and course of action for resolution
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development practices
  • Write documentation to ensure proper use of software systems
  • Adhere to IT Department policies and best practices
  • Maintain a professional demeanor
  • Work productively with all levels of Medline employees
  • Follow Medline's Code of Ethics and other corporate policies
  • Support production environment availability when needed

Those interested in applying should be knowledgeable of the following:

  • React 16+, NextJs
  • Good knowledge of server-side rendering (SSR)
  • Angular 9+
  • Knowledge of React tools like - hooks, webpack, nodejs, JSX, babel
  • Knowledge of unit testing frameworks like jest, karma, jasmine
  • TypeScript
  • ES6 JavaScript
  • SCSS, LESS, CSS3
  • HTML5
  • Understanding of version control tools like BitBucket, Git or svn.
  • SEO best practices
  • Object oriented design principles and MV* patterns
  • Interfacing with REST APIs
  • Object-oriented & Functional Programming
  • Cloud experience - preferably Azure

Experience with the following is also desirable:

  • Bootstrap
  • Micro Front End Pattern (Single SPA, Module Federation, etc)
  • Mobile frameworks like Ionic, Cordova etc.
  • Build tools like npm, yarn etc.
  • Accessibility
  • Jenkins pipelines, CI/CD , Docker Desktop
  • Prisma cloud
  • Scrum methodologies
  • Deployment strategies for react based projects

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$110,240.00 - $165,360.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
