CAE Optimization Engineer Vehicle Performance
We are seeking a skilled CAE Optimization Engineer to support the design team across multiple domains, including NVH, crash, durability, and manufacturing. You ll leverage advanced CAE optimization techniques to reduce mass, enhance performance, and inform design decisions for both current and future vehicle platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and execute structural optimizations, including defining design space, constraints, and objectives.
Analyze results and propose manufacturable design solutions.
Conduct subsystem and full-vehicle level optimizations focused on stiffness, stress, and mass.
Apply multi-domain and multi-material optimization strategies.
Utilize tools such as OptiStruct, NASTRAN, Hyperworks, and BetaCAE.
Collaborate cross-functionally to balance performance across multiple attributes.
Provide design guidance during concept development phases.
Scripting in Python or TCL is a plus.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, including 1 2 years in optimization.
Strong fundamentals in FEA and CAE optimization.
Proficiency with OptiStruct/NASTRAN, Hyperworks, and BetaCAE.
Enthusiastic, quick learner, problem solver, and team-oriented.
Performance will be assessed through task-based evaluations.
