Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Senior Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Designer to support Stryker's Medical Division. This role is hybrid, working 3-4 days per week in the office, at our Redmond, WA office.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As the Senior PCB Designer, you will design and document high density, highly complex multilayer printed circuits, flex circuits, and accompanying drawings within all applicable design guidelines.

Additional responsibilities of the role include:
  • Create PCB layouts for new designs per IPC standards.
  • Review Design For Manufacturability (DFM)/Design for Test (DFT) comments from the supplier and update layouts to accommodate changes.
  • Develop, document, and improve PCB process and library standards.
  • Work closely with mechanical engineers to collaborate on robust MCAD/ECAD interfaces.
  • Supervise PCB contractors and external PCB partners to produce designs compatible with Stryker standards.
  • Complete printed circuit board artwork, drill and trim, assembly, silk screen, and schematic drawings describing a printed circuit or flex circuit.
  • Resolve tool related issues by consulting with CAD vendor representative, other senior printed circuit designers, or design supervisor.
  • Work with engineers, technicians, contract manufacturers, outside vendors, and supervisor to understand projects and negotiate solutions to problems.
  • Report status of all assigned drawings to supervisor and provide time-to-complete estimates for all assignments.
  • Create schematic symbols and footprints.
  • Ensure proper component placement, signal integrity, and thermal considerations.


WHAT YOU NEED:

Required Education:
  • High School Diploma with 6+ years of work experience (plus any additional years of relevant work experience required for the position)
  • Associate's degree/ Technical Certification with 4+ years of work experience (plus any additional years of relevant work experience required for the position)
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering Graphics or related curriculum or equivalent experience (plus any additional years of relevant work experience required for the position)


Required Experience:
  • 2+ years minimum CAD/software design related experience
  • Excellent mechanical/electrical/software design solving skills.
  • Excellent CAD or related software skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills


Preferred:
  • Subject Matter Expert in Cadence Allegro PCB.
  • Ability to apply understanding of IPC, true dimensioning and geometric tolerancing, trigonometry, PCB fabrication, and assembly processes.


$77,500 - $120,500 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
