Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Exchange, Office 365, SQL DBA, and Intune Autopilot Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation, optimization, and security of our organization's Exchange, Office 365, SQL databases, and Intune Autopilot environment. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in managing these technologies, a proactive mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The Senior Microsoft Exchange Engineer will be a member of the OCSD IT Services team providing direct Microsoft Exchange engineering and administration services support.

Responsibilities:
  • Exchange and Office 365 Management:
  • Administer, monitor, and maintain Exchange Server environments, including mailbox management, distribution lists, and security groups.
  • Manage Office 365 tenants, configure mail flow, troubleshoot email-related issues, and maintain user identities and permissions.
  • Migration Planning and technical implementation:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze existing Exchange environments and formulate migration strategies tailored to the organization's requirements.
  • Assess the current infrastructure, mailboxes, distribution lists, and public folders to determine the scope and complexity of the migration.
  • Execute end-to-end migration processes, including configuring and managing Exchange Online, Azure Active Directory, and other associated Office 365 services.
  • Utilize PowerShell scripts and automation tools to facilitate data migration, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption to users.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot migration-related issues, addressing them promptly to minimize downtime and user impact.
  • SQL Database Administration:
  • Manage SQL Server databases, including installation, configuration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor database health, optimize query performance, and implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Intune Autopilot Implementation and Management:
  • Design, deploy, and manage Windows Autopilot deployments using Microsoft Intune.
  • Configure and maintain device profiles, application deployment policies, security settings, and compliance policies.
  • Implement device enrollment processes for both mobile and desktop platforms, ensuring a user-friendly experience while maintaining security protocols.
  • Manage device lifecycles, including provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and retirement of devices through MDM and Intune solutions.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network administrators, security specialists, and application developers, to integrate and support technology initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to explain complex technical concepts and solutions.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline and 5+ years of operating systems experience.
  • Viewed as a well-developed technical resource capable of handling moderately complex assignment.
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, DBA, or Engineer, specializing in Exchange, Office 365, SQL databases, and Intune Autopilot.
  • Proficiency in administering Exchange Server and Office 365, including PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Strong understanding of SQL Server database management, backup and recovery, performance optimization, and security.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune Autopilot for device provisioning and management.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing MDM and Intune solutions for both mobile and desktop environments.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols, security practices, and data privacy regulations.
  • Relevant certifications such as MCSA: SQL Server, MCSE: Messaging, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Desired Skills:
  • Recent project experience in transitioning Enterprise Level Exchange services environment to O365.
  • Proficiency in provisioning and support of Microsoft Cloud / Azure services (Exchange Online and Exchange Online Protection).
  • Experience with supporting Microsoft Exchange Online. This includes Intune administration.
  • Proficiency in provisioning and support of Microsoft Cloud/Azure services (O365, Exchange, etc.).
  • IT managed services experience supporting enterprise level customer environments.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation and customization is a plus.
  • Experience working in a ServiceNow ticketing environment and knowledge of ITIL framework (incident, change, and problem management)
  • System administration expertise in VMWare software and virtual infrastructure and server implementation, certifications beneficial.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $50.00 - $55.00/hr. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages. Packages may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, 10 paid days off, 401(k) plan participation, commuter benefits and life and disability insurance.
