Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated 5th/6th Grade Special Education Inclusion Teacher to join a supportive school team beginning in January and continuing through the end of the 20252026 school year near Jackson Blvd in Chicago

The selected candidate will support a diverse caseload of approximately 7 students, including:

- 1 student with direct pull-out math services
- 1 student receiving independent functioning support and inclusion math services for behavior
This role requires strong collaboration skills, effective instructional planning, and a commitment to student growth within both inclusive and small-group settings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- LBS1 endorsement issued by the Illinois State Board of Education
- Experience with co-teaching strategies
- Skilled in writing IEPs
- Ability to collect and interpret progress monitoring data
- Experience developing behavior intervention plans
- Familiarity with Chicago Public Schools databases (ASPEN/IMPACT)
