Technical Writer

Our client is looking for a Technical Writer to join their growing team in Indianapolis, IN.

The ideal skillset will be someone who has experience with Adobe FrameMaker and someone who has experience writing technical documentation for heavy machinery or physical product installation. You will be creating user guides, owner manuals, and installation specs for HVAC equipment/systems.

This will require you to be in their downtown Indianapolis office 3 days per week. They cannot sponsor, transfer, or do C2C. This is a full-time, direct hire position.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years in technical writing/publications
• Recent experience Adobe FrameMaker
• Experience writing technical publications for physical machinery
• Ability to go into their Indianapolis, Indiana office 3 days a week

Desired Skills & Experience

• Ability to maintain web-based document library content to ensure that all documents are consistent and up to date
• Plans writing processes and communicates regularly with document approvers to meet project goals and deadlines
• Creates or works with engineering to create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to assist readers in understanding a product or process.
• Gathers to improve technical documents.
