JOB DESCRIPTION: Microsoft 365, Data, SharePoint and Product Administrator
Position Overview
NYC-based financial firm is seeking a strategic and hands-on Microsoft 365, Data, SharePoint and Product Administrator to guide our organization in effectively utilizing SharePoint, Office 365 tools, and data integration. This role is pivotal in driving user adoption, optimizing collaboration workflows, and integrating AI-powered features to enhance productivity. The environment is managed by a third-party Managed Service Provider (MSP), so this role will focus on enablement, training, and internal alignment rather than infrastructure management.
This is a full-time onsite role at our Midtown East office.
Key Responsibilities
SharePoint Enablement & Microsoft 365
Design, configuration, and deployment of SharePoint Online site structures, libraries, data models, and automated workflows tailored to evolving business requirements.
Establish and maintain framework for site provisioning, content management, permissions, versioning, and lifecycle policies to ensure scalability, consistency, and compliance.
Partner with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and managed service providers (MSPs) to align SharePoint and Microsoft 365 capabilities with organizational objectives, AI and digital transformation initiatives, and user adoption goals.
Assist with product evaluation and data integration for all areas of the organization.
Enforce data governance, security, and retention policies in line with regulatory requirements and internal firm standards.
AI & Productivity Integration
Identify opportunities to leverage Microsoft 365 products including: Copilot, Viva, Syntex, and other AI-powered applications / features.
Partner with investment, compliance, and operations teams to identify opportunities for AI automation, analytics, and workflow improvements.
Promote intelligent search, document tagging, and knowledge management using Microsoft Syntex and other tools.
Evaluate, test, and deploy new AI tool offerings from Microsoft and other vendors to improve productivity.
Establish guidelines for ethical and compliant AI use.
User Adoption & Training
Drive adoption of AI features and Microsoft 365 applications across the firm, providing training, best practices, and ongoing support.
Conduct training to onboard users to SharePoint and Microsoft 365 tools.
Champion change management strategies to drive adoption across departments.
Product Management & Stakeholder Engagement
Develop and maintain a digital workplace strategy that balances innovation, security, and regulatory compliance.
Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable roadmaps and product enhancements.
Partner with internal stakeholders (business users, senior management, other collaborators), MSP and Vendors to ensure smooth rollout and support.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience implementing and supporting SharePoint Online in a business environment.
Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem including Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, PowerBi, and Copilot.
Familiarity with AI capabilities within Microsoft 365 and their practical applications.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to train and influence non-technical users.
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
5+ years of experience administering Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and enterprise collaboration environments.
Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert or equivalent certification
Experience with Power Automate, Power BI, and Microsoft Syntex
Background in change management or organizational development
