Senior Procurement Specialist

Position Overview:


We are seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to manage the complete procurement lifecycle for engineered equipment, materials, and services on major capital projects. This role includes issuing inquiries, evaluating bids, preparing and executing purchase orders, and ensuring compliance with contractual and technical requirements.


The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently while maintaining strong collaboration across engineering, project management, logistics, and supplier teams.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Analyze requisition packages and vendor bids for completeness and compliance

  • Prepare commercial bid tabulations and secure approvals

  • Collaborate with technical teams to support supplier evaluations

  • Lead negotiations and vendor meetings to secure favorable terms and manage supplier performance

  • Issue and manage purchase orders, including all related documentation (terms, scope, pricing, delivery, warranties, etc.)

  • Coordinate logistics and inspection activities to ensure timely and compliant deliveries

  • Resolve vendor-related issues, including non-conformances and potential back charges

  • Track and report on procurement status, including delivery schedules and documentation progress

  • Maintain strong communication with internal teams and suppliers throughout the procurement process

  • Review supplier invoices and coordinate closely with accounts payable for timely payments

  • Support supplier performance evaluations and continuous improvement efforts


Qualifications & Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (preferred)

  • 2-5 years of procurement experience, ideally with engineered equipment

  • Strong understanding of project procurement processes and documentation requirements

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
