Location: Mountain View CA 94043 (Hybrid) Duration: 05+ months contract

Job Description:

  • Execute compute and storage operational support for Client Research users.

Responsibilities:

  • As a Technical Program Manager, you will provide operational support for basic compute and storage allocation and automation during the transition of new responsibilities to Research PARM in H2-24.
  • Your role will involve stabilizing this transition and streamlining the operational support process to facilitate existing HC/support rotation.
  • You will ensure Research Teams have the compute resources they need by owning day-to-day provisioning actions, analyzing requests, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop provisioning plans.
  • Additionally, you'll provide reports on capacity utilization, monitor capacity-related alerts, and maintain/improve compute capacity automation systems.

  • Allocate machine resources for launches and reclaim unused resources using command line, web-based tools, or automated provisioning tools.
  • Provide individualized support to teams on requesting machine resources, coordinating with Engineers, Program Managers, and Resource Planners.
  • Report status, health, and progress towards key metrics and goals.

Mandatory:

  • Program coordination skills to prioritize requests and work with teams.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong focus on user satisfaction.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using basic command-line executables (Unix kernel).
  • Experience with Client Suite, especially Sheets, for data analysis.

  • Financial/accounting analysis skills for budget maintenance and capacity planning.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years equivalent work experience.
