Insurance Specialty Group, LLC, a subsidiary of NFP, is seeking a Business Analyst for P&C Operations.
Candidate is required to have previous insurance or reinsurance experience
Position Summary:
The Business Analyst serves as a critical link between MGA operational teams and enterprise project initiatives. This role is embedded in the Operations team and will participate in cross-functional projects driven by the integration team. The Business Analyst acts as the operational subject matter expert (SME), ensuring that the MGA's business needs, processes, and systems are fully represented and supported through project lifecycles.

Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

- Serve as the primary business expert from MGA Operations on integration projects.
- Represent day-to-day operational workflows, pain points, and goals in project design and execution
- Ensure project deliverables align with MGA business needs and operational strategy
- Gather, document, and validate business requirements across operations, underwriting, accounting, and compliance functions
- Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable functional requirements
- Identify and recommend operational process improvements and automation opportunities
- Act as a liaison between MGA Operations, project managers, analysts, developers, and stakeholders
- Participate in project planning sessions, design reviews, and testing cycles
- Support and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and business readiness activities
- Create business process documentation, workflows, and impact assessments
- Maintain clear communication across stakeholder groups, ensuring alignment and issue resolution
- Support adoption of new solutions by operations users and help capture feedback
- Monitor results to ensure business value is achieved and recommend refinements where needed
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Operations, or related field
- 3+ years of experience as a business analyst in the MGA space
- Strong understanding of MGA workflows, operational systems, and service models
- Skilled in business process documentation, requirements elicitation, and stakeholder communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and process mapping tools
- Experience working in cross-functional project environments
- Familiarity with insurance technology platforms such as IMS, ImageRight, AIM, or similar
