Job Details

Location & Work Arrangement

  • City, State: Cayce, South Carolina
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days Onsite per week)
  • Contract: This is a Contract position.
  • Residency Requirement: Candidate must be a CURRENT SC resident. No relocation is allowed.
  • Schedule Note: Must be able to work flexible hours, including outside traditional business hours, when necessary for implementation.
  • Mode of Interview: 1 round, Virtual.

Key Duties and Project Scope

Server Hosting and Segmentation Project

  • Project Scope: Participate in the team responsible for the remediation and conversion of the physical and virtual server environment into a segmented framework.
  • Daily Operations: Support the day-to-day operations of the Agency's Server Hosting environment.
  • Configuration & Conversion: Participate in planning, designing, installation, configuration, and conversion of the server environment, coordinating with internal staff and external solution implementation partners.
  • Advisory Role: Advise staff on hardware configurations and implementations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure deliverables meet technical standards.

Security and Compliance Implementation

  • Security Baselines: Implement access controls, security baselines, and audit logging in accordance with CIS, NIST, and organizational IT security policies.
  • Compliance: Ensure system setup and migration comply with federal and state regulatory laws, specifically CDC, HIPAA, and CJIS .
  • Vulnerability & Incident Response: Collaborate with Cybersecurity teams to address vulnerabilities and respond to security incidents.
  • Tier 3 Support: Provide Tier 3 escalation support for complex identity, access, and authentication issues.

Required Technical Expertise (5+ Years Experience)

Skill Area

Key Expertise & Knowledge

Server OS

5 Years (Required)

Extensive experience with Windows server.

Directory Services

5 Years (Required)

Expertise in Microsoft Active Directory and GPO (Group Policy Objects).

Scripting/Automation

5 Years (Required)

Proficiency with Powershell.

BC/DR

5 Years (Required)

Experience with Backup and Disaster Recovery (DR) in an enterprise environment.

Hardware/IT Systems

5 Years (Required)

Advanced knowledge of computer and network hardware, software, and operating systems.

Security/Compliance

2 Years (Required)

Experience with security and data classification related to CDC, HIPAA, or CJIS.

IT Systems Lifecycle

3 Years (Required)

Experience with Information Technology System analysis, design, testing, and maintenance.
