Information Technology Specialist
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Information Technology Specialist
to provide planning, execution, cybersecurity, project management, and network
administration support across Navy enterprise systems. This role ensures a
secure, protected environment while enabling innovation, modernization, and
seamless integration of new technologies.
You will be part of a dynamic team supporting mission-critical projects
that directly impact national defense and digital transformation efforts.
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate
with Government technical teams to define technological strategies,
pipelines, tools, and development procedures. -
Conduct scope
analysis and plan for delivery of future system enhancements. -
Assess Navy
Enterprise and Enterprise Architecture for potential synergies. -
Recommend
improvements and enhancements to portfolio systems. -
Support
technical analysis and design of Government-approved cloud hosting
vendors. -
Develop cloud
environment architectures and multi-cloud data interchange strategies. -
Develop
procedures for system management business processes. -
Establish
technical best practices for system landscapes. -
Provide
expertise during upgrades, migrations, testing, and remediation to ensure
compatibility. -
Provide
technical support during performance and integration testing of new
solutions. -
Advise and
assist Government teams implementing Navy processes into system platforms. -
Deliver IA
program management support to ensure compliance with DoD and DON IA
policies. -
Provide
technical and project management support related to the Clinger-Cohen Act
(CCA) of 1996, including IA requirements. -
Establish
safeguards to protect Government systems and data (confidentiality,
integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation). -
Update
technical documentation to reflect acquisition policy changes, engineering
planning updates, and lifecycle progression. -
Assist with
preparation, review, and archival of Defense Business Systems (DBS)
lifecycle products and documents (DoD 5000 series, all BCAT levels). -
Prepare
senior-level technical presentations, minutes, and correspondence for
integrated reviews. -
Develop and
update risk assessments, risk management tools, program planning
documents, and POA&Ms. -
Review program
office plans to ensure lifecycle coverage (planning, requirements, design,
development, deployment, post-delivery). -
Gather and
analyze historical data and best practices to recommend risk mitigation
strategies. -
Assist in
developing communications strategies for program leadership, including
branding, stakeholder engagement, media relations, industry outreach,
internal communications, and change management. -
Provide subject
matter expertise in SAP to assess technical setup strategies,
configurations, data loads, and role configuration. -
Develop SOPs
and Process Activity Streams (PAS) for new technical environment setups. -
Deliver
after-action reports and client environment strategies to support
innovative solutions.
Qualifications

Bachelor's
degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related
field (Master's preferred). -
5+ years of
experience in enterprise IT strategy, system architecture, or
cybersecurity. -
Strong
knowledge of DoD/DON IA policies, Clinger-Cohen Act requirements, and
compliance frameworks. -
Experience with
cloud hosting environments (AWS, Azure, or other Government-approved
vendors). -
Demonstrated
expertise in system upgrades, data migration, and network configuration. -
Experience with
SAP technical environments and role configuration. -
Ability to
evaluate emerging technologies and recommend practical implementation
strategies. -
Knowledge of
DoD/DON IA policies, Clinger Cohen Act requirements, and compliance
frameworks. -
Active DoD
security clearance (or ability to obtain). -
U.S.
Citizenship required.
