Summary:
The primary responsibility of the role is to identify and deliver strategic data solutions which will provide long term benefits to the firm. The role requires direct engagement with senior leadership across Markets business, Risk, Finance and technology in Capital Markets space to advise on data strategy, design and delivery plans.
The role is responsible for management of multiple Olympus Consent Order Data programs (for onboarding, controls and consumption), Markets business MRIAs, Finance and SM&C data synergies (Genesis and Olympus), Finance Strategic Ledger delivery, Strategic Finance reporting and the firm's heightened focus to reduce data concerns - all for the Markets Business. These responsibilities include delivery of the following critical programs in the Markets and Finance space for the Institutional Data Platform - Olympus:
1) Markets data onboardings, Unity Data Controls, Multi-Way reconciliations for Consent Order RBCMs.
2) Consolidate Genesis into Olympus, resulting in a unified data fabric to source and distribute data for Finance reporting
3) Strategic alignment of critical data elements used by Finance BCBS reports with data used for SA-CCR and CCR reporting, leveraging Olympus as the single data source for both sets of reporting
4) Devise and deliver solutions for Data Concerns (DCs) for the Burn-to-Zero program
5) Markets business critical discretionary requests associated with onboarding, distribution and analysis of Olympus data across trades, positions, payments and settlements.
Required Qualifications:
15+ years or more years of experience in Capital Markets Technology
Deep functional and technical experience in Capital Markets across Front Office, Middle Office, Operations and Finance
Strong technical solution and delivery skills identifying opportunities & championing ongoing best-in-class business transformation/ innovation for global enterprise projects
Extensive Business Analysis experience in one or more Markets Business: Equities, FX, Rates, Credit, Commodities
Understanding of Trade lifecycles, Business Events, Accounting Events, and related data.
Expertise presenting & socializing technical solutions and program status with Senior Management across Business & Technology
Demonstrated strong leadership taking control of complex Issue for the business, facilitating technical workings session, providing technology solutions through resolution.
Effective communication and influential skills using logical thought process, with ability to arrive at consensus across varied user groups
Positive and motivated individual with an ability to take initiative; demonstrate resiliency and calm under pressure.
Drive and deliver the large-scale projects in a diverse technical environment
Ability to drive architecture decisions
Strong working knowledge of data management and big data platforms, which includes
Hadoop
Expertise in Big Data querying tools e.g. Hive and Impala
Relational SQL and NoSQL databases
Business Intelligence Tools
Financial message formats (e.g. Fix, FPML, Swift ISO, etc.)
Experience with complex data analysis
Comprehensive knowledge of all phases of Software Development Life Cycle
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using Excel for data analysis
Use of Confluence, JIRA, and other agile team process tools to accelerate team outcomes.
Pay Rate: $74/hourly W2
