Job Title: Data Engineer

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize our data architecture, ensuring efficient and reliable data pipelines that support business intelligence, analytics, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data engineering, is proficient in cloud platforms, and has a passion for leveraging data to drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support data warehousing, analytics, and machine learning initiatives.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Develop and optimize database architectures, ensuring data integrity, security, and reliability.
- Implement data governance, quality, and security best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Work with structured and unstructured data sources to integrate and manage data from various systems, including cloud-based environments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data processing performance, ensuring data availability and reliability.
- Lead and mentor junior data engineers, providing technical guidance and supporting their professional development.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and recommend new tools or processes to enhance data engineering capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on building data pipelines, ETL processes, and data architecture.
- Proficiency with SQL and experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, and familiarity with services like AWS Glue, Google Cloud Platform BigQuery, or Azure Data Factory.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala, with experience in data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
- Experience with data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
- Knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to addressing complex data challenges.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and BI tools (e.g., Looker, Qlik).
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and integration of ML models into data pipelines.
- Certification in relevant cloud platforms or data engineering disciplines.
