Summary
We are seeking a skilled RightAngle Developer to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and supporting the RightAngle ETRM system, and integrating it with other enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will combine strong software engineering capabilities (C#, .NET, SQL, etc), domain expertise in energy/commodities/trading (if applicable), and a track record of delivering enterprise-scale solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, customise, enhance, test and deploy modules, reports, plugins and integrations within the RightAngle system.
Work with business analysts, stakeholders and users to gather requirements (functional and nonfunctional), translate them into technical specifications, and implement solutions.
Build and maintain interfaces between RightAngle and external systems (e.g., via REST/SOAP, web services, ETL, message queues).
Perform data modelling, database development, writing/optimising T-SQL/SQL Server code, managing data flows, loading, transformation, replication.
Support system integration, quality assurance/testing (unit tests, functional tests), troubleshooting production issues, and performance optimisation.
Create and maintain technical documentation (design specs, user guides, process flows) and provide training/mentoring to support staff or junior developers.
Stay current with technology trends and industry best-practices (especially related to ETRM/CTRM systems, cloud & integration technologies).
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
Several years of experience (e.g., 5 + years for mid-level, 8 + years for senior) in software development, including enterprise line-of-business applications.
Demonstrated experience working with the RightAngle ETRM software (configuration, enhancement, customisations).
Strong skills in C# / .NET (including WinForms, WebForms or modern .NET) and familiarity with PowerBuilder (depending on legacy modules) or other client tech.
Excellent SQL Server expertise (T-SQL, stored procedures, optimisation, data modelling) and a solid database background.
Experience with web services (REST/SOAP), XML/XSLT/XPath, middleware/integration platforms, and possibly cloud services (Azure/AWS) if the environment uses cloud.
Familiarity with agile development methodology (Scrum/Kanban), version control (GIT/TFS), CI/CD pipelines.
Good analytical and problem-solving capability, strong communication and collaboration skills.
Desired / Plus Qualifications
Experience in the energy/commodities/trading industry (ETRM/CTRM domain).
Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure WebApps, Azure Functions, AWS Lambda/S3) and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes).
Experience with reporting tools (SSRS, Crystal Reports, Tableau) and BI/dashboarding.
Experience for mentoring junior developers / leading small teams.
Knowledge of enterprise architecture/integration patterns, and performance tuning at scale.

Work Environment & Additional Info
Depending on the company, role may be fully remote, on-site or hybrid (noting many energy/ETRM roles are Houston/headquarters oriented).
Some travel may be required for stakeholder meetings or deployment phases.
May require working across different time zones if supporting global trading operations.
The job may involve legacy system support (older PowerBuilder/WinForms modules) plus modernisation efforts.
