Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Support Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and support our organization's hardware and software systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal functionality of desktop and peripheral equipment, user accounts, and communication systems, while adhering to organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, analyze, and repair computer systems, hardware, and peripherals.
- Document, upgrade, or replace software and hardware systems as required.
- Support and manage user account information including access rights, security roles, and group memberships.
- Perform installation, relocation, and maintenance of communications equipment.
- Identify and resolve basic networking and communication issues.
- Provide technical assistance and end-user support for hardware and application-related issues.
- Install, move, test, and upgrade hardware and software components.
- Monitor system operations and perform routine diagnostics to ensure performance.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of service records and documentation.
- Review and recommend procurement of IT equipment and software.
- Maintain security controls and ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in IT support, desktop support, or related field.
- Working knowledge of Windows OS, hardware components, and peripheral troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with communication systems and basic networking concepts.
- Ability to manage user accounts and apply security controls.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move hardware as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST).
