Skillset / Experience:
As a ServiceNow CMDB Solutions Specialist at ***, you ll report to an IT Manager in Los Angeles, California, and be part of a collaborative team dedicated to enhancing the ServiceNow platform.
In this role, you'll work closely with our Live Operations & Enterprise Technology stakeholders - building strong relationships, gathering requirements, and designing configurations to implement our CMDB for all of the company in ServiceNow. Partnering with talented teammates and trusted external partners, you'll help streamline and optimize our CMDB services on the ServiceNow platform.
As *** continues to expand its enterprise support functions, you'll collaborate with leaders from the Live Operations Team, Enterprise Tech Organization and ServiceNow Platform Team. Your goal is to manage a dynamic platform and diverse business processes, enabling teams to focus on their best work while enjoying a seamless ServiceNow experience.
Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the primary contact between Live Operations stakeholders, Enterprise Architecture stakeholders, Enterprise Technology stakeholders (such as IT Operations) and the IT ServiceNow Platform Team to make sure that there is alignment, transparency, and successful project delivery.
Transform Requests into Requirements:
- Work with Live Operations stakeholders to understand their requests and transform them into business requirements that are balanced against ServiceNow Platform best practices for scalability, ServiceNow Platform out-of-the-box configuration and Enterprise Technology stakeholder needs as well as our current configuration.
Governance & Best Practices:
- Help support defining relationships and dependencies between Configuration Items (CIs) in alignment with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM). Participate in establishing data quality and governance standards to ensure CMDB integrity over time.
Platform Enablement & Optimization:
- Monitor platform performance, optimize configurations, and troubleshoot issues related to the CMDB. Configure service mappings in partnership with stakeholders and develop CMDB health dashboards.
Training & Documentation:
- Develop documentation, models and guidelines for CMDB usage across the organization. Support and train teams on data model standards, best practices, and platform updates.
Strategic Design:
- Partner with Live Operations, Enterprise Technology, Enterprise Architecture and the IT ServiceNow Platform Team to support the overall CMDB architecture and provide recommendations.
