Job Title: Enterprise Systems Administrator II
Location: Dearborn, MI
Schedule: Daytime, full-time. Onsite 3x/week at 1 American Rd, Dearborn, MI 48126.
Pay Rate: Depending on experience and aptitude, $40-$50 per hour
Type: W2 Contract, 6 months with likely extension. We are unable to sponsor and cannot consider C2C candidates.
Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Jira Cloud Administrator to help manage and
maintain our Jira Cloud instance, ensuring optimal performance, security, and usability. The Enterprise Systems Administrator II will be responsible for all aspects of Jira Cloud administration, including project manipulation, workflow configuration, user access, and integration with other Atlassian tools. A solid understanding of Confluence administration is also desirable, and experience with Azure Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a plus. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a passion for enabling teams to work efficiently.

What You'll Do:
- Advise, Coach Technical Solutions, primary leveraging Jira and Confluence.
- Actively participating with Vehicle Development Engineering / Operations Teams' workflows and processes to gain firsthand insights into their usage patterns, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to Jira Cloud users and troubleshoot issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Jira Cloud Administration: Manage and maintain our Jira Cloud instance, including user management, permission schemes, custom fields, workflows, and screens.
- Documentation and Education : Create and maintain documentation for Jira Cloud processes, configurations, and best practices. Develop and deliver training sessions for new and existing users along using documentation and training resources
- Automation and Optimization: Implement and maintain Jira Cloud automation
- rules to streamline workflows and improve efficiency. Security Management: Implement and enforce Jira Cloud security best practices to protect data from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Confluence Administration: Provide basic administration support for Confluence, including managing spaces, pages, and permissions.
- Process Improvement: Actively identify areas for process improvement within Jira and Confluence environments. Analyze existing workflows and configurations to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Develop and implement solutions to optimize processes, improve user experience, and enhance team productivity.
- Identity Access Management (Desired): Support Jira user access controls - knowledge of single sign-on (SSO) and user provisioning is beneficial.
Minimal Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience administering Jira Cloud Suite (Jira Software, Jira Service Management [JSM]) in a professional environment with a Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Jira Cloud features, functionality, and best practices.
- Experience with Jira Cloud automation tools.
- Strong understanding of Jira Cloud security principles and practices.
- Successful track record of advising enterprise teams on the best practices to leverage Jira to accomplish their business objectives.
- Possess a learning mindset and curiosity and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
- An effective relationship builder and able to influence without authority.
- An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing team.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of Confluence administration.

- Knowledge of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience with user IAM (Azure AD / Entra ID)
