Job Details
Acts as the highest level of technical support (L3), addressing complex technical issues escalated from lower-tier support teams. This includes conducting in-depth root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing permanent solutions or code fixes for recurring problems, often collaborating with development and other IT teams.
Proactively monitors system health, performance, and availability in production environments. Designs and implements monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to identify and resolve issues before they impact business operations or end-users.
Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of production incidents, leveraging advanced debugging techniques and tools to identify root causes.
Collaborate with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to implement solutions that minimize downtime and enhance system resilience.
Establish and maintain monitoring frameworks and alerting systems to proactively detect and address potential issues before they impact users.
Develop and document operational procedures, incident management protocols, and knowledge base articles to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely support for critical incidents, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Drive post-incident reviews and process improvements, fostering a culture of learning and accountability.
Skills Required:
Overall 7+ years of experience.
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, as well as containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
Experience with GIT based code repositories.
Excellent skills in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Shell, Bash, or Ruby.
Ability to manage configuration tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
Experience in DevOps, system administration, or related fields.
Strong technical background with proficiency in troubleshooting system issues across applications, networks, and databases.
Experience with incident management tools and practices, including ITIL methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency in using monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.
