Our challenge

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior UI/UX Designer & Developer with a strong background in banking and financial services. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of intuitive, user-centered digital solutions, ensuring they align with our business objectives and meet stringent security and compliance standards. This role requires a blend of creative vision, technical expertise, and strategic thinking.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Pittsburgh, PA/Dallas, TX is $110k - $118k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile financial platforms.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into functional UI components.
  • Ensure UX designs align with financial compliance standards (e.g., ADA, WCAG, PCI-DSS).
  • Conduct usability testing and incorporate feedback to continuously improve user experience.
  • Optimize performance and accessibility across browsers and devices.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to UX/UI best practices across teams.
  • Stay current with fintech trends, design systems, and emerging technologies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in UI/UX design and front-end development, with a strong portfolio showcasing banking or financial services projects.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.
  • Experience with design systems, component libraries, and version control tools.
  • Deep understanding of financial industry workflows, security protocols, and compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance user needs with technical constraints and business goals.
  • Certification in UX/UI or related fields is a plus.
Preferred, but not required:
  • Prior experience working with banking or financial institutions.
  • Knowledge of banking regulation impacts on UI/UX design.
  • Experience integrating third-party financial APIs and services.
