Description

We're looking for an experienced Telecommunications & Cable Technician to join our team in the Savannah area. This role is perfect for a self-motivated problem-solver who is ready to tackle a variety of technical challenges. Key Responsibilities

As a Telecommunications & Cable Technician, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our clients' communication and security systems, from initial installation to ongoing maintenance. Your day-to-day work will include:

• Installing and maintaining digital and IP telephone systems, VoIP products, and surveillance systems for our clients.
• Running and terminating telecommunication and network cables in new and existing buildings.
• Working from technical documents, blueprints, and sketches to plan and execute system layouts.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Managing and documenting all service orders, repair history, and work performed using a Customer Relations Management (CRM) system.
• Maintaining accurate records of client information, equipment, and parts inventory.
• Coordinating efficiently with dispatchers and other technicians to ensure timely completion of all service calls.
• Adhering to all industry standards for safety codes while on job sites.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar telephony or telecommunications role.
• Proficiency with various forms of technology, including Windows computers, tablets, and smartphones, for on-site and in-office tasks.
• Expertise in cloud-based phone systems and all VoIP-related products.
• Proven experience running and terminating telephone and network cables, with a solid understanding of the tools required.
• Familiarity with standard hand and power tools.
• The ability to troubleshoot complex issues and find effective solutions.
• Experience working in commercial environments.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
