RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an AI Engineer - Prompt 2 in Redmond, WA.
Summary:
The Software Engineer will be supporting critical business functions across device supply chain, manufacturing, fulfillment, and services. The role involves applying principles of computer science and software engineering to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable systems and applications. This includes working on cloud-native services, data platforms, and AI-integrated solutions to drive operational efficiency, reliability, and innovation at scale.
Job Responsibilities:
* Modify existing databases/API systems
* Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions
* Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations
* Review project requests describing database users' needs to estimate the time and cost required to accomplish project
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
* 5-7 years of relevant industry experience
* Hands-on experience with Azure AI services such as Azure Cognitive Services and Azure OpenAI, with the ability to integrate these services into enterprise applications and sound knowledge on Prompt engineering
* Experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining RESTful APIs with CICD
* Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing, and delivery
* Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services, including but not limited to Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Key Vault, and Azure DevOps
* Solid understanding of computer hardware and software fundamentals
* Familiarity with best practices for system reliability, alerting, telemetry, and live site engineering practices
* Strong proficiency in C# with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
* Proficiency in development tools and languages such as SQL, Visual Basic, etc.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent problem-solving, customer service, and interpersonal abilities
* Basic mentoring skills to provide guidance and constructive performance feedback
* Strong programming skills in C# and experience building, deploying, and maintaining RESTful APIs
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Ability to troubleshoot issues and implement system changes as needed to resolve them
* Proven ability to support live production systems, including incident management, proactive monitoring, root cause analysis, and performance optimization
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
