AI Solutions Architect
Overview
We're seeking an experienced Techs to own the architecture, delivery, and ongoing evolution of our AI-driven, zero-ops conversational embed system. You'll combine deep hands-on expertise in modern web frameworks, cloud-native PaaS, and real-time telephony/video integrations with strong leadership skills to drive rapid experimentation, reliability at scale, and seamless data hand-offs
Key Responsibilities
- Architect & Deliver: Design and maintain the end-to-end topology (Next.js/React front-end, NestJS API, Redis/Postgres stores, RabbitMQ queues, telephony bridge) with a focus on isolation (Shadow DOM), modular adapter layers, and minimal cold-start latency.
- Lead Rapid Iteration: Build CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions Heroku/Vercel), feature-flag support (Amplitude Experiments), and embedded-script delivery so product teams can ship daily experiments with zero downtime.
- Ensure Scalability & Resilience: Implement autoscaling strategies (Heroku Dynos, Vercel Edge Functions, warm-dyno pre-warmed pools), cost-efficient scale-to-zero patterns, and SLO-driven monitoring (Datadog, Sentry).
- Data Consistency & Security: Own session management (Redis TTL, session restore), transactional lead routing into Convoso, and compliance ready data practices (TLS 1.3, JWT/HMAC tokens, AWS KMS encryption, HIPAA/SOC 2 alignment).
- Integrations & Adapters: Lead development of vendor-agnostic adapter layers for AI/video (Tavus, HeyGen, OpenAI), telephony (Twilio, Plivo), daily-co captioning, and analytics (Amplitude, Google Analytics).
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Guide a small, cross-functional squad of backend, frontend, and DevOps engineers conduct code reviews, share best practices, and foster a culture of ownership, observability, and automated testing.
- Roadmap & Strategy: Partner with Product and Operations stakeholders to define Phase 2 migration paths (EKS/Kubernetes, multi-AZ deployments, advanced compliance) and prioritize enhancements (personalization, regionalization, connection pooling).
- 5+ years building and operating production-grade web applications with Next.js/React and NestJS (or equivalent Node.js frameworks)
- Proven expertise with PaaS platforms (Heroku, Vercel) and "scale-to-zero or autoscale configurations
- Deep understanding of Redis session stores, PostgreSQL (AWS RDS), and message queues (RabbitMQ or similar)
- Hands-on experience integrating Twilio/Plivo telephony and call-center APIs (Convoso)
- Familiarity with real-time video/voice embeddings (Daily.co), AI adapters (OpenAI/Azure, TavHeyGen)
- Strong DevOps chops: GitHub Actions CI/CD, CLI deployments (Heroku/Vercel), preview/staging workflows
- Track record of designing for observability: Datadog, Sentry, structured logging, alerting to SLOs
- Solid grasp of security best practices: short-lived signed tokens (JWT/HMAC), TLS, encryption-at-rest (AWS KMS)
- Prior leadership or tech-lead experience in agile, high-experiment environments
- Exposure to Kubernetes/EKS, multi-AZ architectures, and connection-pooling strategies
- Hands-on with HIPAA/SOC 2 compliance processes and AWS BAA setups
- Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks and session-replay tools
