Senior Network Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support the Supreme Court of the United States. The position is full time, and the work site is located in Washington DC.

Duties Include:
* Operate, optimize or audit Palo Alto or Fortinet -next generation- Firewalls with application layer (L7) policy
* Design, implement, operate or optimize enterprise wireless networks
* Operate and optimize switches and routers utilizing open sourced routing protocols (OSPF)
* Operate and optimize Hardware Load Balancers
* Operate and optimize Network Management systems to include: SolarWinds, Gem X, netbox, Cisco Prime, Fortimanager, Panorama, PTRG, Ansible, Git, or other SDN Orchestration products

REQUIREMENTS:
* CCNA or CCNP
* 7+ years of experience as a network engineer
* Experience supporting federal government preferred
* Router configurations (WAN, routing protocols, etc.)
* Firewall configurations
* Load Balancer (F5 for example)
* Wireless background
* Switches, Vlans, cabling etc.
* DNS
* Understanding of packet capture technologies and how to review machine level communication from TCP/UDP perspective
* Resumes that explicitly list experiences or skill levels in specific network transport L2-L4 protocols
* Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
