Buyer (IT/Software)

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Buyer (IT/Software) for a prominent client of ours. Details for the position are as follows:

Job Description:

• Work collaboratively with Global Category Managers to develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies.
• Lead competitive bidding processes (RFx), negotiate favorable terms and conditions, and manage the contract lifecycle to secure optimal pricing, quality, and service levels.
• Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Drive ongoing cost reduction initiatives and identify immediate, high-impact savings opportunities.
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to demonstrate value delivered.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, from individual contributors to senior leadership, to understand business requirements and align procurement strategies with organizational goals.
• Ensure continuity for critical software license renewals and support urgent business needs.
• Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from negotiation and execution to renewal and termination, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing within the software industry including contract negotiation with software vendors.
• Proficiency in using procurement tools and technologies such as Oracle, Apptus, and Tableau.
• Hybrid, Thursady & Friday work from home.
