Fleet Ballistic Missiles (FBM) is one of Lockheed Martin's best-in-class lines of business that prioritizes partnership, integrity, and reliability. Ordnance Engineering is an organization within FBM that handles the design, production support, test and sustainment of the missile explosive hardware.
As an Ordnance/Propulsion Engineer, you will be expected to collaborate well in a dynamic environment and have excellent communication skills. Additionally, in this role, you will have numerous opportunities to represent the Ordnance group with our Navy partner and LM leadership, with many opportunities for career development along the way.
In this role you will support the engineering team by performing project management roles.
Your duties may include responsibility for age management, risk and opportunity tracking and assessment, planning, and other program management roles in support of ordnance and propulsion components, assemblies and systems. This job requires coordinating with customers, suppliers, test facilities, and other related fields including manufacturing, test, quality, structure design, analysis, systems engineering, and integration with affected subsystems and facilities. Support Ordnance and Propulsion Subsystem Integration
Risk & Opportunity tracking and management
Perform requalification of production and test operations
Develop and lead aging programs
Work in an agile environment using tools such as JIRA
Maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and technical analyses to support systems and components
Ability to work on a multi-disciplined team performing detailed design/analysis activity.
Provide user documentation and recommendations to data packages to support peer and customer reviews, present analysis data to engineering teams, customer technical representatives, and Program Office personnel at technical interchange meetings and design review.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Project Engineering, Business or related discipline
Basic understanding of mechanical design systems
ship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Desired skills
Experience or coursework in one or more of the following areas:
-Mechanical hardware and systems
-Project Engineering, Program Management, or Planning experience
-Risk & Opportunity development & management
-Mechanical and propulsion engineering principals
-Mechanical design experience
-Agile platforms such as JIRA

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $57,500 - $101,430. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
