Overview;

• We are seeking an experienced Progress Open Edge Platform Architect to lead the design, implementation, and lifecycle of enterprise solutions built on the Progress Open Edge stack.
• The ideal candidate holds a Certified Open Edge Developer certification and combines deep technical expertise in Open Edge ABL with strong architectural skills, integration experience, and a practical understanding of cloud and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture, technical direction, and platform roadmap for Open Edge-based applications.
• Design scalable, secure, high-availability architectures for Open Edge application tiers and data layers.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions and produce architecture artifacts (diagrams, patterns, standards).
• Oversee performance tuning, capacity planning, and resource optimization for Open Edge environments.
• Guide modernization and migration efforts (on-premises to cloud, version upgrades, containerization).
• Define and enforce development, deployment, and operational best practices for Open Edge development teams.
• Ensure seamless integration with third-party systems and modern APIs (REST, SOAP, messaging).
• Mentor developers and perform code and design reviews to ensure adherence to architecture and quality standards.
• Collaborate with product owners, infrastructure teams, security, and operations to ensure successful delivery.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and third-party components for the Open Edge ecosystem.
