Duration : 6 Months
Location : El Segundo, CA
Pay : $100 - $130/hr on W2
Lead Oracle Cloud Financials IT Solution Architect, Corporate Systems (Finance)
Be a part of an organization that is modernizing and transforming its IT platforms, processes, and skills to accelerate strategy to unlock a world of tech-enhanced 360-degree play experiences!
Seeking a Lead Oracle Financials IT Solution Architect with a strong functional/technical architecture and configuration background to design, solution, implement, and optimize our Oracle Cloud Fusion applications ecosystem. The ideal candidate will join the Global Technology Organization (GTO) Corporate Systems Applications group supporting Finance, Legal, and Human Resources. The group is currently migrating from Oracle E-Business Suite to Oracle Cloud Fusion.
This role requires a hands-on expert in configuring Oracle Fusion Financials modules - including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CM), and Subledger Accounting (SLA) - with deep understanding of how these configurations interlink across workstreams such as Record to Report, Order to Cash, Requisition to Pay, Plan to Perform, Projects to Result, and Acquire to Retire.
The successful candidate will bring proven experience architecting and solutioning migrations from Oracle EBS to Fusion, applying industry best practices and establishing scalable, compliant, and optimized configurations that align with enterprise processes.
Responsibilities
Lead and own the configuration and solution architecture of Oracle Cloud Financials modules, ensuring alignment with business and accounting requirements.
Support the overall Oracle system architecture during the migration from Oracle Financials EBS to Oracle Cloud Fusion.
Demonstrate advanced hands-on configuration capabilities in core Oracle Fusion Financials modules - GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, and SLA - including setup of COA structures, ledgers, tax, intercompany, allocations, and accounting rules.
Design and implement integration and data-flow architectures between Oracle Cloud Fusion applications and other enterprise systems.
Provide technical and functional leadership to implementation and support teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct configuration workshops with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and validate system behaviors.
Maintain and document all configuration activities, including setup workbooks, test scripts, and change-control logs.
Perform architecture and configuration reviews, ensuring scalability, audit compliance, and adherence to SOX controls.
Stay current with Oracle Cloud quarterly updates, reviewing and implementing relevant configuration changes and new feature adoptions.
Lead troubleshooting of production issues related to functional setups, configurations, and integrations.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to define, test, and deploy configurations supporting global and localized business requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 7+ years of experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials, with at least 5 years hands-on configuration of Financials modules across global business units.
Strong expertise configuring GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, and SLA, including COA design, ledger setup, subledger accounting, and multi-currency configurations.
Deep understanding of Oracle Cloud Financials processes across Record to Report, Order to Cash, Requisition to Pay, Projects to Result, and Acquire to Retire.
Experience configuring Accounting Hub (AHCS) and managing accounting rules and mappings.
Proven participation in at least two full lifecycle Oracle Cloud ERP Financials implementations, including setup, testing, and deployment.
Expertise in Oracle technologies such as Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Web Services, OCI, and DBCS.
Experience with Oracle localizations, globalizations, and tax configuration for multi-national entities.
Ability to lead and knowledge-transfer (KT) with Big 4 consulting teams to enable transition to in-house support.
Experience working with audit and compliance teams on SOX-controlled configurations.
Strong documentation skills including Functional Design Documents, Configuration Workbooks, and Business Process Flows.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, capable of translating business needs into optimized Oracle configurations.
Oracle Cloud certifications (e.g., Financials Implementation Specialist) preferred.
