RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Baltimore, MD that is seeking an Information Security Analyst.
Responsibilities:
* Security Control Implementation and Documentation: Assist with the development, update, and review of key security documentation including System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Assessment Reports (SARs), and POA&Ms; Ensure documentation reflects current system configurations and complies with Department of State and NIST requirements
* Assessment and Authorization (A&A) Support: Support all phases of the A&A lifecycle for multiple systems, including initial assessment, ongoing monitoring, and continuous authorization efforts; Participate in system categorizations, risk assessments, and security control evaluations in line with NIST SP 800-53 and Department guidance
* Security Impact Analysis and Risk Tracking: Conduct Security Impact Analyses (SIA) for proposed system changes; Identify potential control impacts, recommend mitigations, and support updates in governance platforms such as ArchAngel
* Continuous Monitoring and Compliance: Contribute to the continuous monitoring program by assisting with control assessments, reporting on control status, and updating documentation on a regular basis; Track remediation progress, support vulnerability management, and ensure timely closure of identified issues
* Audit Readiness and Governance Support: Support internal and external audit preparation by organizing documentation, assisting with artifact collection, and providing detailed responses to audit inquiries; Ensure alignment with 12 FAM, 5 FAH-6, and related Departmental policies
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience supporting federal information assurance or cybersecurity programs
* Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
* Knowledge of the NIST Risk Management Framework and experience applying NIST SP 800-53 controls
* Experience supporting POA&M tracking, SSP/SAR development, and A&A documentation efforts
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience working in secure enterprise environments
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
