Job Details

We are looking for a Federal ABS Chief Architect, a technical leader, subject matter expert and trusted advisor specializing in cloud-based endpoint management and virtualization solutions, who is passionate about driving our customers' AI transformation and enabling secure, AI-enhanced workplace experiences. This role will lead the Federal ABS Endpoint technical and architectural strategy accelerating modernization ensuring seamless onboarding, adoption, and value realization across Microsoft's endpoint solutions, including Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Intune. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 100% from home depending on customer and business needs.

Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership
  • Uses market insights to guide leadership in up-skilling and accreditation aligned with demand. Demonstrates and encourages technical readiness relevant to solution priorities and wider initiatives like AI and security, mentoring the team through knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Leads and forms virtual teams to address technical and customer challenges, sharing strategic input across Microsoft communities. Drives industry recognition for Microsoft solutions through presentations, events, and contributions to intellectual property, especially where new patterns emerge. Actively participates in external and internal community events, promoting the Microsoft brand and disseminating insights.
  • Identifies and communicates gaps in delivery and connects business and technology areas to improve products, processes, and scalability. Updates Microsoft's frameworks and methodologies, providing thought leadership and innovation within global internal and external communities.
Customer Centricity
  • Identifies customer or partner challenges and recommends Microsoft solutions aligned with product strategy, demonstrating ROI relative to competitors.
  • Accelerates adoption of Microsoft products by guiding customers across solution areas, building strong relationships with technical and business decision makers, including C-level roles.
  • Acts as the voice of the customer, sharing feedback and insights with internal teams to influence product improvements and strategic direction.
  • Ensures an efficient, seamless customer experience by addressing concerns, resolving dissatisfaction, and executing strategies for value realization and transformation.
Business Impact
  • Delivers solutions following company standards to prepare customers for success and operational readiness. Applies change management to drive adoption and satisfaction, while guiding customers to secure, resilient, and AI-enabled solutions that boost retention and expansion. Communicates the value of unified offerings, supports sales teams, and provides actionable feedback.
  • Identifies opportunities for customer growth by understanding Microsoft platform benefits, consults strategically to build trust, and recommends solutions aligned with business objectives. Stays current with industry trends, gathers relevant insights, and aligns solutions with client needs through cross-team collaboration.
  • Proactively addresses blockers to speed up deployments and adoption using broad expertise, maintains operational excellence throughout sales, prioritizes high-impact work, manages risks, and adapts methodologies to meet business goals.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications (RQs)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field

    AND 7+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience
  • 6+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
  • 6+ years experience leading technical projects.
Other Requirements

Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • The successful candidate must have a minimum of an active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance . Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customerscreening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.
  • Clearance Verification : This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customer and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified US government Clearance
Preferred Qualifications (PQs)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 12+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
  • Technical c ertification s in relevant technologies or disciplines (e.g. , Azure Architecture and Administration, Microsoft 365 Endpoint Administration, Virtualization Technologies , etc. )
Cloud Solution Architecture IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
