Description
We are offering a temporary employment opportunity for a Telecommunications Specialist in the life insurance industry, located in West Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will work on configuring and deploying telecommunications systems, maintaining hardware and software, and providing technical support for telecommunication and unified communication-related issues.
Responsibilities:
Designing and setting up telecommunications systems such as PBX, VoIP, and SIP trunking solutions.
Handling installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of telecommunication hardware and software including telephone handsets, gateways, routers, and switches.
Conducting firmware upgrades, patches, and system upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
Monitoring the telecommunications infrastructure to identify and address potential performance issues proactively.
Providing end-users with technical support and assistance for telecommunications and unified communications-related issues.
Collaborating with network engineers and system administrators to integrate telecommunications systems into existing IT infrastructure.
Implementing and managing unified communications platforms, including video conferencing, instant messaging, and collaboration tools.
Developing and maintaining documentation such as system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in telecommunications and unified communications technologies.
Participating in project planning and execution including system upgrades, expansions, and migrations.
Requirements
Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the Telecommunications field, specifically in the Insurance - Life industry.
Proficiency in VOIP - Voice Over IP is expected.
Must have experience with Unified Communication.
A strong understanding of Telecommunications is required.
Experience with Video Conferencing is necessary.
Knowledge of PBX telephone exchange is essential.
Familiarity with SIP Trunking is needed.
Experience working with Gateways is required.
The candidate should be able to handle Routers efficiently.
Knowledge of Router Switches is expected.
The candidate should be capable of conducting Firmware upgrades.
