Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) Consultant to support and enhance SAP SD functionalities for a client in New Jersey. This role is strictly onsite and open only to independent contractors.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in SAP SD configuration, business process analysis, and cross-module integration. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to optimize sales and distribution processes using SAP.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Configuration:
    Design, configure, and customize SAP SD modules including sales order processing, pricing, billing, and shipping.

  • Business Analysis:
    Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed functional specifications.

  • Integration:
    Ensure seamless integration of SAP SD with other SAP modules such as Materials Management (MM), Warehouse Management (WM), and Finance (FI).

  • Support & Training:
    Provide ongoing production support, troubleshoot issues, and conduct end-user training sessions on SAP SD functionalities.

  • Project Lifecycle Participation:
    Participate in full SAP implementation lifecycle activities including blueprinting, design, testing, cutover, and deployment.

  • Documentation:
    Create and maintain functional and technical documentation related to SAP SD configurations and business processes.

  • Process Optimization:
    Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency in sales and distribution operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP SD configuration and implementation

  • In-depth knowledge of SAP SD processes:

    • Sales order management

    • Pricing

    • Billing

    • Shipping & delivery

  • Experience with cross-module integration (SD with MM, WM, FI)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with data migration and end-user training

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

  • SAP S/4HANA experience is a plus
