Position Summary

The Sr Systems Engineer - Hydraulic Systems Instructor is responsible for field applications, system design, and customer product development/enhancement. Provide a medium which increases sales and market share of hydraulic motion control products. Develop, delivery, and facilitate in person and virtual training in support of the 4 Star Hydraulic Systems Engineer and Industrial Controls Training Curriculum.

Work with territory managers/distributors, marketing and product teams adapting product to customer needs.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Senior Systems Engineer (HSE) Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates newer H.S.E. training.
  • Support hydraulic design and electronic interface.
  • Consult with division non new product development and marketing.
  • Assist territory and regional manager in adapting current and new products to customer need and satisfaction.
  • Assist the regional manager in managing the technical qualification of the H.T.C distributor network.
  • Provide technical expertise on product and total system design applications to close on final sale.
  • Consult with customers regarding product and capabilities.
  • Assist design and manufacturing in the development of new and/or revised product systems according to customer requirements.
  • Provide timely reports summarizing findings on a given product or project.
  • Make good, sound business judgment.
  • Teaches or facilitates territory manager in technical training of customers and distributors.
  • Will have direct account responsibility as needed.
Hydraulic System Instructor Responsibilities:
  • Manages and leads the hydraulic system training programs based out of the Parker HVS Elyria OH Training Center.
  • Deliver and develop training in support of hydraulic system design and electronic interface.
  • Consult with MSG divisions for the development of training to cover core and emerging motion control technologies.
  • Create, maintain, and update curricula, lesson plans, and classroom reference materials.
  • Work closely with FPS to ensure the curriculum meets the current and future needs for both internal and external students.
  • Assist FPS management in delivering training in support of each H.T.C distributor having a Parker Trained HSE on staff.
  • Provide technical expertise on product and total system design applications to close on final sale
  • Consult with customers regarding product and capabilities.
  • Conduct student evaluations, course evaluations, cost tracking, and continuous improvement efforts within training programs.

Qualifications

Qualifications
  • 5-10 years in Fluid Power engineering and training.
  • Advanced technical competence in hydraulics.
  • 4year college degree in related engineering discipline.
