Job Description Summary
Individual will serve as a Cloud Engineer. Individual will be responsible for a technical domain or internal consultant in the Cloud infrastructure domain. Responsible for executing a component(s) of a domain, product, program, or a pod. This is a hands-on role.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction.
  • Ability to independently assess, mitigate, and resolve customer-impacting incidents while maintaining clear communication
  • Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.
  • Gather and analyze data and develop architectural requirements at project level.
  • Contribute to the designs and deployment of infrastructure solutions meeting standardization, consolidation, Total Cost of Ownership, security, regulatory compliance and application system qualities.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities.
  • Participate in the migration of applications from on premise data centers to Cloud environments.
  • Contribute to the designs and deployment of cloud infrastructure solutions for the GE Aerospace business.
  • Promote the company culture by encouraging open communication, teamwork and living of the GE Behaviors
  • Provide necessary leadership for the business and IT team to ensure that initiatives and projects meet the strategic objectives.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 2 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 7 years of professional experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years focused on Hands-on Azure design and implementation

Desired Characteristics:
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Azure core services including identity, compute, networking, storage, managed database services, and others
  • Hands on experience with Operating Systems such as Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • LEAN Knowledge
  • Understands technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction aligning with business goals.
  • Familiar with elements of gathering architecture requirements.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and technical leadership skills.
  • Experience in developing or operating applications/infrastructure in Cloud environments
  • Collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various stakeholders
  • Ability to get hands on with infrastructure.
  • Customer driven- evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer, builds strong customer relationships, creates processes with customer viewpoint and partners with customers to help shape their future initiatives
  • Strong analytical and strong problem-solving skills, communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions
  • Experience working across multiple functions and with global resources
  • Interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and / or industry activities

Note:

The base pay range for this position is $112,000 to $170,000 annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on January 15th, 2026.
