Job Description Summary
As Electrical Engineer for the GE Healthcare Bone and Metabolic Health (BMH) business, you will be responsible for electrical engineering design and development of new innovative technological solutions for a market leading DXA product line (bone density and body composition measurement devices) in addition to supporting a global installed base..

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, develop, and evolve electrical engineering solutions in a fast paced lean/agile environment

  • Design robust electrical system architectures that align with NPI multi-generational hardware platform

  • Work closely with systems, application, marketing, service, clinical teams and customers in requirements gathering and systems design

  • Interact with global teams across GE Healthcare to maximize synergies across common platforms and components

  • Drive cost improvement initiatives (VCP) for installed base

  • Interface with suppliers for NPI, SCRs and component EOL activities

  • Provide technical support for DXA products to field and factory

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering / Science within a related discipline.

  • 5 years of strong experience, showing career progression, within product and technology development roles.

Desired Characteristics

  • Masters degree in Engineering / Science within a related discipline.

  • Technical development and product execution expertise in medical imaging or a closely related field.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills
  • Experience with circuit board layout and associated software packages.
  • Ability to solder components down to size 0402.
