Location: Medley, FL- Onsite
Duration: Direct Hire
Compensation: $95K-$110K

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure reliable operation of plant electrical and automation systems with a focus on minimizing maintenance and repair costs.

  • Support the electrical team with maintenance engineering tasks and assist with developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs.

  • Lead and participate in root cause analysis for critical failures and system downtime events.

  • Design, evaluate, and implement electrical and automation infrastructure improvements, including lifecycle analysis and CAPEX projects.

  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support for complex industrial equipment and systems including power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation.

  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout all plant operations and maintenance activities.

Skillset / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in electrical engineering; industrial maintenance experience strongly preferred.

  • Proficient in maintenance and management of electrical systems in large industrial facilities (e.g., MCCs, VFDs, transformers, power lines, large AC/DC motors, DC generators).

  • Hands-on experience with industrial control systems such as PLCs, VFDs, DCS, and HMIs.

  • Skilled in reading and creating ladder logic, logic diagrams, process flow diagrams, and electrical schematics.

  • Working knowledge of electrical power system components including breakers, relays, arrestors, and transformers.

  • Strong safety mindset with proven ability to work in a safety-conscious environment.

  • Excellent communication, reasoning, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including MS Project.

  • Ability to work extended hours, including holidays, nights, and weekends as needed.

  • Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs for both new and legacy equipment.

  • Background in power distribution upgrades and CAPEX project implementation.

  • Familiarity with lifecycle management and end-of-life planning for electrical systems.

  • Knowledge of cement manufacturing processes and lab instrumentation.

  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish).

  • Experience supporting corporate engineering initiatives and reporting.

  • Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Experience selecting industrial products and managing vendor relationships.

  • Background in organizing technician training programs in coordination with training staff.
