Job : Data/Information Architect - Project Lead
Location: Columbia, SC (Hybrid)
candidate(s) should possess a proven knowledge of process improvement with strong emphasis in technical writing. candidate(s) will be responsible for performing a gap analysis in a shared services it organization to identify areas where processes need to be defined, developed, improved upon and documented to gain efficiency, standardization, compliance and consistency. nist, irs pub 1075 and itil process mapping experience will be performed. the candidate will be responsible for tasks assigned in the compliance office such as, writing procedures, documenting processes, and coordinating work with various audit and assessment
teams. the ability to work independently and to work outside of the normal work hours, as needed, is required. previous experience with in an it service organization having federal, state, and or industry security compliance requirements is preferred.
Key duties and Responsibilities
- Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the services offered and processes necessary to implement those services in a consistent and secure manner. Work with project managers and management to prepare and deliver documentation packages required as part of state, federal, and/or industry-required audits and assessments.
- Produce high quality documentation and flow charting to document processes and workflows. design and maintain documentation library. provides technical writing and process documentation for itsm, governance and technical teams.
- Provides standardized process documents in support of itsm and technical teams.
- Produces customer ready documentation (to be approved by admin strategic communication in support of statewide initiatives including but not limited to microsoft co-pilot, chat gpt policies and processes). conducts process training sessions in collaboration with itsm and governance teams.
- Participates in meetings with auditors and assessors and provides professional expertise in discussing information security controls and operational procedures as part of state, federal, and/or industry-required audits and assessments.
- Assist with agency scdis-200 assessments and compliance:
- Assists operational and governance teams by providing guidance and professional assistance during interview sessions.
- Develops, maintains, and updates as necessary all documentation related to processes and procedures, aligning them to standardized practices for compliance and operations as laid out in scdis-200 v.2.
Required skills
- 3+ years of extensive knowledge of IRS pub 1075
- 3+ years of NIST 800-53, NIST CSF,itil or cjis
- 5+ years of the ability to work with server and end-point technicians to develop detailed procedures
Preferred skills
- Experience with SCDIS-200 assessments and compliance
- Experience conducting process training sessions
- Experience participating in meetings with Auditors and Assessors
Education requirement
- Bachelor s degree in a relevant field of work
