Role: Lead backend /Solutions Architect
Location :Onsite, 5 days a week at McLean, VA office
Overview
The Solutions Architect will provide technical leadership to multi-disciplinary teams and shape data engineering solutions for the Multi-family division at Freddie Mac. The division finances, underwrites, and supports rental housing nationwide, focusing on both affordable and market-rate properties.
Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver scalable data platforms, integration pipelines, and analytics frameworks tailored to multifamily mortgage, housing finance, and risk assessment projects.
- Lead requirements gathering, solution design, and implementation activities for high-impact business and technology initiatives.
- Collaborate directly with product managers, analysts, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into technology solutions.
- Review code, guide technical teams, and ensure best practices in solution delivery, security, compliance, and scalability.
- Support transformation efforts, such as cloud modernization, data migration, and real-time analytics, in an enterprise-level environment.
- Actively manage client engagements, set technical vision, and represent the technology group in business meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Hands on Tech Lead / Solution Architect for Freddie Mac Multi-family division
- Experience in solution architecture, security architecture patterns
- Experience with microservice-based architecture patterns
- Experience with Data patterns
Strong background in Mortgage Industry
Tech Stack is Java+SpringBoot, Python/Pyspark, PostgreSQL, AWS, MongoDB
