JAVA SDET Consultant - Dallas, TX (Hybrid & Locals Needed)

Role: JAVA SDET Consultant

Location: Dallas, TX (Only local to TX)

Duration: Long Term

Mandatory Skills needed:

• 6 - 8 years of experience in Web UI Automation using Selenium, Java, Cucumber BDD framework
• 2 -3 years of experience with Mobile automation using Appium or SeeTest
• Strong experience in automating Web Services testing with both REST APIs
• Strong experience in using JIRA, Confluence and X-ray
• Experience with Gherkin language to write test scenarios and Cucumber features
• Experience working with GitLab or similar source code repository tool
• Experience with Git version control system
• Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle
• Experience working with Databases using JDBC, Hibernate or Spring JDBC

Nice to Have

• Experience testing Siebel applications.
• Experience in creating Test Automation frameworks using Java, Selenium and BDD frameworks such as Cucumber JVM.
• Experience working with Serenity BDD.
• Good understanding of Shift-Left approach to Testing, Screenplay Pattern and In-sprint Automation.
• Experience in working with Postman and Swagger.
• Experience working with CI Tools like Jenkins.
• Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle.
• Experience working with API mocking frameworks.
• Knowledge of design patterns and software development best practices.
• Scope and estimate the test automation effort for user stories.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication, sense of urgency and ownership of tasks.
• Ability to coordinate with important stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Effective problem-solving expertise, troubleshooting, debugging and root cause analysis skills
