Job Title: Cloud Solutions Architect with GitLab Experience
Location: San Jose, CA (onsite from day 1)
Long term Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and certified Cloud Solutions Architect / DevOps Architect with over 25 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, including specialized environments such as AWS GovCloud. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, and hands-on leadership in complex cloud migration and automation projects. Experience in AI/ML workloads, Contact Center AI, and Service Reliability Engineering (SRE) is a strong plus.

This role requires deep domain expertise across regulated and secure environments, specifically Government cloud infrastructures and compliance frameworks. Candidates must demonstrate hands-on leadership in cloud security, monitoring, networking, and governance in both commercial and federal workloads.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect secure, scalable, and compliant cloud infrastructure using AWS (including GovCloud), Azure, and Google Cloud for public and private sector clients.

  • Lead enterprise-scale cloud migration, hybrid cloud, and multi-cloud projects.

  • Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Packer, and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).

  • Build and automate containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, ECS, AKS).

  • Integrate Contact Center AI and Generative AI workloads using AWS Lex, Google CCAI, and other AI frameworks.

  • Ensure full compliance with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and other regulatory standards within AWS GovCloud.

  • Perform Well-Architected Reviews and deliver infrastructure optimization strategies.

  • Develop and manage Cloud Networking topologies (VPC, PrivateLink, Direct Connect, Interface/Gateway Endpoints).

  • Implement logging, monitoring, and observability solutions using Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, and Cloud-native tools.

  • Establish robust DR (Disaster Recovery) and SRE (Service Reliability Engineering) strategies.

  • Lead workshops and training sessions for DevOps and infrastructure teams.

  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues including networking, IAM, and service integration across clouds.

  • Manage enterprise-wide AMI build processes with Packer and Amazon Image Builder.

  • Work with highly secure data solutions using encrypted S3 buckets, RDS/Aurora databases, and DynamoDB.

  • Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across finance, healthcare, telecom, and government sectors.

Preferred Background:
  • Extensive experience working across government, financial services, healthcare, telecom, media, and pharmaceutical domains.

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud implementations and managing secure workloads.

  • Proven leadership in implementing disaster recovery and business continuity in regulated environments.

  • Track record of architecting highly available cloud-native solutions under tight compliance guidelines.

  • Experience with enterprise-level migration projects for clients such as Comcast, GE Healthcare, S&P Global, Fidelity, and federal entities.

  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
