POSITION: SAP BTP Cloud Migration Analyst

JOB TYPE: Contract

LOCATION: Near Shore/Works in US time zone

DEPARTMENT: Data Integration Services (DIS)

REPORTS TO: This position reports directly to Data Integration Services Offshore Development Manager and may interface with all levels of employees across the company.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Consultant is responsible for designing and developing integrations in alignment with the secure SDLC processes defined by the Development Manager, collaborating with globally distributed teams, and ensuring development activities are executed within project timelines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with SAP Cloud Platform API Management and iPaaS(Cloud Platform Integration) technologies to deliver cost-effective and scalable integration solutions.
  • Implement end-to-end integration scenarios in collaboration with the Development Manager and Solution Architect.
  • Support the design and development of interface architectures, ensuring alignment with project standards.
  • Design, develop, and optimize integration flows between SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Write clean, maintainable code following established conventions and best practices.
  • Perform unit testing, document test results, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Optimize code for performance and reusability.
  • Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve quality.
  • Create deployment packages and deploy them to the DEV environment.
  • Prepare documentation to support production turnover and go-live readiness.
  • Provide post-go-live support, including issue analysis and resolution.
  • Collaborate with administrators to handover deployment packages for higher environments.
  • Provide support during Functional Testing, Integration Testing, and UAT.
  • Implement mappings and transformations using Groovy/JavaScript.
  • Develop, publish, secure, and monitor APIs using SAP API Management.
  • Build applications using SAP CAP (Java/Node.js) with SAP HANA Cloud persistence.
  • Configure Destinations, Connectivity Service, and Cloud Connector for system integrations.
  • Communicate status, risks, and issues effectively to the Development Manager.
  • Work with the Development Manager to estimate effort, complexity, and timelines.
  • Support post-production maintenance, including debugging and fixing issues.
  • Actively share knowledge and contribute to the overall integration capability of the team.
  • Be flexible to work in different time zones if required for project deliverables.
  • Share expertise and mentor team members to strengthen overall integration capabilities.

EDUCATION: Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology

EXPERIENCE: 8+ years overall, with 4+ years in SAP BTP CORE EXPERTISE:

    • SAP Cloud Platform/BTP Integration Suite (CPI, API Management)
    • Groovy, JavaScript, Node.js scripting
    • CAP Development (Java/Node.js)
    • CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, TMS
    • Hands-on experience in integrating with SAP ECC using BAPIs and RFCs
    • Strong problem-solving, client-facing communication, and ability to work in Agile delivery model.

PREFERRED:

  • SAP Certified Development Associate SAP BTP/SAP Cloud Platform, Integration Suite, Extension Suite
  • SharePoint, AWS, Ariba, Rest Tools (Postman), MS Excel, Word
  • Knowledge of working with SAP ECC BAPI and RFC
  • CI/CD pipelines (Git, TMS, Jenkins)
