Role: Power BI Developer- Microsoft Power Platform W2 Only
Location: Columbia, SC- Hybrid
Duration: One Year contract

Position Overview:

IRG Clients is seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer with expertise in Microsoft Power Platform to support and modernize its financial reporting infrastructure. The ideal candidate will help lead the transformation of reporting capabilities by developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and data models, ensuring regulatory compliance, and aligning technology solutions with agency goals.

This position plays a vital role in managing structured and unstructured data, integrating financial systems, and ensuring business continuity through data integrity and security. The role requires mastery in technical and business domains and the ability to work collaboratively in a complex environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, scorecards, and reports using Power BI Desktop and Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Collaborate with financial teams to gather requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.
  • Analyze and integrate structured/unstructured data from multiple financial systems to support reporting needs.
  • Create and optimize DAX queries and perform advanced calculations to meet specific business logic.
  • Develop backend data workflows and models using Azure services and Power Platform components.
  • Ensure role-based security and data governance policies are implemented in all Power BI assets.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, monitor system usage, and optimize report performance.
  • Manage user access permissions and ensure compliance with Office 365 Government G3 standards.
  • Provide end-user support, training, and documentation.
  • Follow federal and state regulatory compliance, including NIST 800-53, FISMA, and SC InfoSec policies.
  • Assist in developing and implementing agency-specific cybersecurity and information risk policies.
