About the Role
We are seeking a Business Analyst who combines traditional business analysis expertise with AI-assisted capabilities and hands-on functional testing skills. In this role, you will partner with stakeholders, developers, and AI systems to shape requirements, validate solutions, and ensure the functional quality of applications that transform our financial operations. You will play a key role in bridging business and technology, leveraging AI tools to deliver smarter insights, efficient documentation, and intelligent requirement engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Gather and analyze business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and detailed documentation of functional and non-functional needs (user stories, acceptance criteria).
Create business solution artifacts including process flow diagrams, data flow models, wireframes, mockups, and current vs. future state process maps.
Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, translating business needs into actionable technical requirements, facilitating communication, and managing change impact analysis.
Leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., Cursor, Replit Agent) to enhance requirement documentation, process mining, and optimization.
Implement AI-assisted analysis solutions, such as automated requirement traceability matrices, AI-driven impact analysis, and AI-generated user stories.
Design and execute functional testing strategies, creating test cases from business requirements, validating business rules, and performing end-to-end workflow testing.
Conduct system, integration, and regression testing to ensure business requirements are met across varied scenarios.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by coordinating activities, preparing test data/environments, training stakeholders, and facilitating sign-off sessions.
Collaborate with QA teams to implement functional test automation, regression testing, and test environment management.
Drive AI-assisted BA transformation by establishing best practices for AI-powered requirement analysis, documentation, and mentoring team members.
Perform other BA and QA-related duties as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
5+ years of Business Analyst experience in financial services or software development.
Strong understanding of private equity fund administration or financial operations.
Hands-on experience with requirements management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence), process modeling tools (Visio, Lucidchart, draw.io), and data analysis tools (SQL, Excel, Power BI).
Experience in functional testing test case design, execution, defect management, and UAT coordination.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Knowledge of database concepts and SQL for analysis and validation.
Hands-on experience with AI development tools (Replit Agent or similar), LLM-based requirement generation, and prompt engineering for analysis tasks.
Knowledge of API documentation, data modeling, entity relationships, and cloud architectures (Azure preferred).
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to lead workshops and drive consensus.
Desired Attributes
Experience with Sage Intacct or similar fund accounting platforms.
Understanding of Private Equity Fund Administration workflows.
Business Analysis certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar).
Experience with Azure AI services for business applications.
Strong data visualization and storytelling skills.
Familiarity with change management methodologies.
Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
Experience testing or validating AI-powered business applications.
